Terms and Conditions
Effective date: October 23, 2026
Last updated: October 23, 2026
Welcome to QuotStory. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) explain the rules for accessing and using https://quotstory.com/ (the “Website”), including its articles, stories, images, comments, and other available features.
The Website is operated by Quate Story Media, trading as QuotStory, at East St Louis, Illinois, USA (“QuotStory,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). “You” refers to a person accessing or using the Website.
1. Acceptance and Scope
Please read these Terms before using the Website. Where you expressly accept these Terms, they form an agreement between you and QuotStory. Otherwise, they apply to your use only to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you disagree with these Terms, please stop using the Website.
Certain features may have additional terms displayed before you use them. Nothing in these Terms removes rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
2. About QuotStory and Its Stories
QuotStory publishes storytelling and editorial content about family, relationships, personal experiences, and related human-interest topics for entertainment and general information.
Content may include fictional stories, dramatized narratives, adapted accounts, and reader contributions. Such material should not be treated as independently verified reporting unless expressly identified as such. Names, dialogue, locations, and identifying details may be changed for storytelling or privacy purposes. Images may be illustrative and may not depict the people or events described.
Views expressed by characters, contributors, or commenters are their own and do not necessarily represent QuotStory. A story’s depiction of conduct does not constitute our endorsement of that conduct.
3. No Professional Advice
Our content does not provide personalized legal, medical, psychological, financial, or other professional advice. Stories and general commentary are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional familiar with your circumstances. Do not rely on a story to make decisions requiring professional assessment.
4. Permitted Website Use
You may access and read the Website for lawful personal, noncommercial purposes and share links to our publicly available pages.
You must not:
• Use the Website for unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, or abusive activities.
• Harass others, publish unlawful defamatory material, impersonate another person, or disclose someone’s private information without a lawful basis.
• Upload malicious code, send spam, disrupt the Website, or attempt unauthorized access.
• Circumvent security or access restrictions.
• Copy, republish, sell, or commercially exploit protected content without permission or another lawful basis.
• Use automated tools to extract content in ways that infringe rights, bypass restrictions, or materially burden the Website. Ordinary search-engine indexing consistent with our published crawler instructions is permitted.
These restrictions do not limit uses that applicable law allows regardless of these Terms.
5. Intellectual Property
Rights in the Website’s original text, design, branding, graphics, and other protected materials belong to QuotStory or their respective owners and licensors, to the extent those rights exist under applicable law.
Access to the Website does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property. Except where legally permitted, you need the relevant rights holder’s written permission to reproduce, distribute, modify, translate, or commercially exploit protected materials.
You may share article links using ordinary links or available sharing tools. Giving credit alone does not authorize copying an entire article or image. Nothing in these Terms restricts fair use, fair dealing, or other statutory exceptions.
Permission requests may be sent to info@quotstory.com.
6. Comments and Reader Submissions
This section applies where comments or submission features are available. Submit material only if you have the legal capacity and necessary rights and permissions to do so. Do not submit confidential information or personal information about others without appropriate authorization.
You remain responsible for your submissions and retain any ownership rights you have in them. By submitting material for publication and accepting these Terms, you grant QuotStory a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, edit, and display that material on the Website and promote the published contribution through QuotStory’s associated channels. We may allow service providers to process it solely for those purposes.
This permission lasts while the contribution remains published, plus a reasonable period for removing it from active systems after an agreed removal. Legally required records and routine backups may remain subject to applicable law. Previously shared third-party copies may be outside our control. No unrelated commercial reuse is included in this license.
Editing may address clarity, length, formatting, or privacy and must not knowingly turn your contribution into a misleading endorsement. Submission does not guarantee publication, payment, or confidentiality. Any payment or separate publication arrangement must be agreed in writing.
You may request correction or removal at info@quotstory.com. Privacy-related requests are handled under our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
7. Moderation
We may review, decline, edit, or remove contributions that violate these Terms, infringe rights, expose private information, contain spam, or otherwise create a reasonable safety or legal concern. We do not promise to review every contribution before publication.
We may restrict access to interactive features where reasonably necessary to address misuse or protect the Website. Where appropriate and legally required, we will provide notice and a way to contest a decision. To report a contribution or request review, contact info@quotstory.com with its URL and your reasons.
8. Advertising and Affiliate Links
The Website may display third-party advertisements, sponsored content, or affiliate links. Where applicable, QuotStory may receive compensation when readers interact with qualifying links or make purchases.
Paid relationships and affiliate arrangements will be disclosed clearly alongside the relevant content where required. This general notice does not replace those disclosures.
An advertisement or external link does not mean QuotStory guarantees the advertiser, product, or service. Any purchase from a third party is governed by that party’s terms, including its pricing, delivery, and refund rules.
9. External Websites and Services
The Website may contain links to or embedded content from services operated by others. Their content, availability, privacy practices, and terms are outside our control. Review their policies before providing information or completing transactions. We do not warrant external content merely because we link to it.
10. Privacy and Cookies
Our separately published Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information and describes applicable choices and rights.
Cookie notices and consent controls, where applicable, explain additional tracking choices. Accepting these Terms does not itself constitute consent to optional cookies or marketing.
11. Corrections and Rights Complaints
If you believe content is inaccurate, infringes your copyright or another right, or improperly reveals private information, email info@quotstory.com with:
• Your name and a reliable way to contact you.
• The exact URL and description of the disputed content.
• An explanation of the issue and your connection to the rights involved.
• Supporting information and the action you request.
Please provide only information reasonably needed to assess the complaint. We may request clarification and will review complaints and take appropriate action under applicable law. This contact process does not replace any formal statutory notice procedure or restrict your legal remedies.
12. Website Availability and Disclaimers
We make reasonable efforts to maintain the Website but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that every item will always be complete or current. Content may be corrected, updated, or removed.
To the extent permitted by law, the Website is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties beyond those required by law. This does not excuse misleading statements or remove mandatory obligations.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, QuotStory is not responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable consequences of our breach of these Terms or failure to exercise legally required care. Because the Website is intended for personal use, we do not accept liability for business losses arising from commercial use, where that exclusion is lawful.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
14. Changes to the Website and These Terms
We may update the Website and these Terms to reflect changes in features, practices, or legal requirements. Revised Terms will show a new “Last updated” date.
Material changes will be brought to your attention in a manner appropriate to their significance, with advance notice or renewed acceptance where required by law. Changes apply prospectively and do not retroactively reduce rights relating to an existing dispute. If you do not accept revised Terms, stop using the affected features.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
Subject to mandatory applicable protections, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, and applicable federal law.
Disputes may be brought before state courts in St. Clair County, Illinois, or, where federal jurisdiction exists, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois, except where applicable law entitles you to bring proceedings elsewhere. This clause does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections or access to courts available under applicable law.
You are welcome to contact us first to seek an informal resolution, but doing so is not a condition of exercising your legal rights.
16. General Provisions
If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent lawful. A delay in enforcing a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.
These Terms and any additional terms expressly accepted for a particular feature govern that use of the Website. They do not override mandatory law or any separately signed agreement applicable to you.
